The gaming industry has grown like no other in the last years. While the pandemic hit many industries, this was one of the few that benefited the most. What to do to beat boredom? Some options were listening to music, watching a film or, why not, playing a game. Thus, many games gained popularity and became one of the best pastimes people had. In some way, people said that playing games was to refresh the mind and to forget, at least a little, about the coronavirus. Who doesn’t want a bit of fun in the middle of anguish and concern? Everyone, of course.

Though that may sound like a contradiction because of the prejudice against games, it is true that they are good for the brain. No one is saying that gaming addiction is not a reality. However, this does not mean that playing games is a bad thing. As long as you are disciplined and responsible, you will get the most out of it.

Attention skills

Studies show that games can help you improve attention skills. If you are easily distracted, playing games will help you stay more focused. Most of the studies suggest that the most appropriate games for this great benefit are action games. Action games have many challenges, and that is the key to the issue. It is not just playing for the playing’s sake, but overcoming all the obstacles along the way. You will see that you will also improve your visual attention, as you will learn to focus on relevant information.

With so much on offer today, it is impossible not to be tempted to try one of these games. Even more so if you have a mobile phone. On this device, you can play games from the most basic to the most complex. These types of games are perfect for those looking to test their concentration and agility. Stimulate your brain through experiences such as futuristic scenarios with supernatural beings. What could be better than putting your cognitive abilities to work by playing games? Challenge your mind!

The decision-making process

Researchers say those people who play games more frequently can make decisions faster and more effectively than those who do not. Games help you develop a better perception of what is going on around you, and they always test your skills. But what kind of games are most appropriate for this particular point? Those games that are turn-based. The more you play, the more trained you will be. Note: be responsible.

At MrQ you can find games that will prove yourself, such as Crazy Time. This game is similar to Monopoly Live. You can play them on iOS, Android, Desktop or Mobile. Enjoy a no deposit bonus when you sign up, and another welcome bonus when you affect your first deposit! While some gamers prefer playing for free since there are no losses, only playing with real funds will give you the chance to win real money. This site, recommended by VSO, holds top licenses, such as the ones issued by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.

They can make you smarter!

A University of London study has discovered what happens in the brains of people who play strategy games. Want to know what the psychological tests showed? The result will leave you astounded! They showed that these people have superior cognitive flexibility. But what does this mean? In simple words: they are smarter. And that is not all! Researchers also found that these games can help people who suffer from hyperactivity or who have some brain injuries.

An example of a strategy game? The classic chess game. If you prefer to get away from the screen for a while, you can opt for this option and test your brain with a classic wooden board. Many people have played this game. It is one of the most competitive games that exist out there. It is even recognized as an official sport. Who doesn’t want to get smarter? Stop making math exercises the only option and be disruptive. Playing games will test your brain and make you stand out from the crowd.
