Andrew O’Keefe is in some legal trouble after assaulting a woman in Sydney. He will not be out on bail. Presently, Andrew O’Keefe will be appearing in court on Friday.

According to the Guardian, Andrew O’Keefe and a 38-year-old woman got into an argument that soon got physical. He proceeded to choke her and kick her while she was on the ground. It is also alleged that he punched the woman.

In light of this situation, one would probably be surprised to know that he was the chair of a domestic violence charity when it was founded in 2007. He is no longer an ambassador for the charity at this time.

Andrew O’Keefe allegedly punched and kicked the woman

According to ABC News, this incident had taken place on Tuesday, January 25th, and police were contacted the next morning. Andrew was arrested at about 4 am in the morning and could be heard thumping on the side of the van.

Before the incident broke out, Andrew and a woman met at his Kent Street apartment. The pair had a verbal disagreement before the assault has ensued.  He had allegedly grabbed her by the throat before kicking and punching her.
