Ex-tropical cyclone tiffany has made its way back after it was thought it would cross the coast as a category two system. Three people needed to be rescued as they hung onto trees. This took place at about 1 am on Tuesday morning.
On Monday, Queensland faced some high winds and gales but has since settled down. No damage has been done and no one got hurt. However, the ex-tropical cyclone was set to worsen or re-intensify throughout the course of Tuesday evening.

At this time, it seems that no excessive damage was done and more importantly no one was injured. Now, one couple aged in their eighties tried to drive through water but quickly made contact with a submerging object. They were able to get themselves out of the vehicle before experiencing any injuries. People in the area helped and the couple was helped by an ambulance thereafter.
One business in Groote Eylandt was more than prepared had the cyclone made a huge impact on the area they were in. Containers for the safekeeping of the staff as well as the family were available to protect them from any damage.
Thus far, the system is expected to keep tracking west across the top end throughout the day weaken below cyclone strength over land. However, a storm tide bringing damaging waves and flooding is likely in Port McArthur, Alyangula, and Groote Eylandt.
