Selling your custom designs online to fund your new life

If you’re making a new life in Australia, you’re going to need to find work – but what do you do for money while you’re looking?

If you have a creative instinct, an eye for marketing and self-promotion, or ideally both, you could make a decent income by selling your custom designs online around the world. Thanks to drop-shipping, you don’t need any start-up capital.

Possible designs

You can design t-shirts, mugs, jewellery, or design your own phone case, and so much more besides. Then, put it up for sale to customers around the world. The best part is that you don’t need to handle the shipping – the orders are printed and shipped on your behalf.

How does drop-shipping work?

It’s a simple process – you have an online storefront, such as an Etsy/eBay/Shopify page. On that page are listed items for sale that you have customised through your drop-shipping partner. These will be “white-label” items, namely items that are blank, and can be customised with all manner of designs.

When a customer makes a purchase, the order goes through the website and is passed directly onto your drop-shipping partner. They’ll print the order, package it, and then ship it out to the customer straight away. That’s it.

You don’t have to do a thing. All you need to do is keep coming up with new, innovating, and eye-catching designs, along with spreading the word about your online shop as far and wide as you can. The better you promote, the more you sell.

Payment for the service comes as a percentage of each sale – so you don’t even start paying your drop-shipping partner until you start selling, and even then it’s only ever a percentage of profit that you’re already making.

No money down

The joy of drop-shipping is that it requires no actual start-up capital from you – you don’t need to worry about buying stock to sell, or paying for it to be customised, or finding somewhere to store it, or investing in shipping materials.

You also don’t need to worry about shipping to customers; this is all taken care of on your behalf. This means that once your shop is up and established, you can make money from your sales while still having the time to job-search/build your new life.

Get started on your designs today

Getting started just needs a little creative inspiration from you – once you have thought of some exciting design/logo inspiration, you can get started.

Once your shop page is up and running, you will have the ability to potentially earn a lucrative online income that requires minimal time or money to be invested. This means you can use it to tide you over and have some income while you begin your new life, or you could use it as the foundation of a brand new online business.

Selling your custom designed goods online has never been easier, and drop-shipping means you don’t need money, space, or time to start making a profit. Get your designs together, and start selling them online today.
