Before you embark on this journey, you will need to apply for a Visa waiver. By using a website like https://www.estavisaus.org/, you will be able to apply for this type of Visa with ease. The Visa Waiver Program is something that was established to give people who live in other countries the ability to travel to the U.S. on business or tourism. The developers of this program worked hard to make the application as simple as possible. You can fill out all of the paperwork you need to qualify for this waiver online. The following are some of the most important things you should know about the Visa Waiver Program.

  1. The ESTA is Valid For Two Years

After you have filled out your application for this waiver, you will usually get an email within a day that informs you of the status of your application. Once you get the email that your application has been approved, you will also receive an expiration date for the waiver. While the normal time for expiration is two years, this is not always the case. You need to make sure you read your approval notice carefully to avoid having problems with this waiver. Before your waiver is set to expire, you need to start the renewal process so you can avoid a long wait. The time invested in this type of approval process will be well worth it in the long run.

  1. There are Restrictions on How Long You Can Travel

While these waivers are good for up to two years, there are restrictions on how long you can stay in the United States for any given time. Usually, 90 days is as long as you will be able to stay in the country before facing some type of trouble. Be aware that once you leave and come back, the 90 day time limit will start over. The last thing you want is to overstay and get in trouble with border agents when trying to re enter. Following these rules will allow you to avoid a number of problems in the long run. If you are consistently returning to the U.S. for 90 day stretches, this will eventually show up on the radar of the border patrol agents. Getting in trouble for this may prohibit you from getting approved for this waiver in the future.

  1. This Waiver Needs to Be Valid Upon Arrival in the U.S.

If the waiver you have is valid when you arrive in this country, you should have no problem getting in. It does not matter if the waiver is set to expire shortly after your arrival because you will have 90 days to renew it. If you are unsure about how to use the waiver you have, speaking with a professional who is familiar with the laws that surround this process is essential. They will be able to provide you with information on what you can and cannot do in regards to this waiver.

  1. The Final Decision on Entering the Country Rests With the Border Patrol Agent

Most people fail to realize that the final decision on whether they are allowed into the United States rests with the border patrol agents. If for any reason these agents find cause to keep you out of the country, the waiver approval will not matter. This is why you need to follow all of the orders given to you by these professionals. Usually, these agents will have a variety of different questions to ask about why you are entering the country. Being honest with them can go a long way in regards to getting in to the country with no problems.

Getting the ESTA process started when visiting the official website of this program. There, you will find all of the information you need to apply for this waiver.
