Feel like you’ve experienced all there is to experience? Think again, and push you body (and heart) to the limit with these holidays...

An adrenaline-fuelled holiday is arguably one of the most exciting. You can push your body to the limit, break down mental barriers, try new activities and experience things that normal holiday-goers just wouldn’t be exposed to.

However, if you’re an expert on these types of holidays and feel like you’ve experienced all there is to experience, then think again. Here are some locations that you might not have considered before.

Madagascar

This isolated island, located in the Indian Ocean, is brimming with natural beauty, stunning views and exotic animals that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. It might not be the first place you’d think of when looking for an adrenaline-packed adventure holiday, but Madagascar certainly delivers on all fronts. Cliff-diving, paragliding and skydiving can all be enjoyed here. Madagascar is a great destination for adrenaline junkies because the tourists and standard holiday-makers have not yet taken to this destination – meaning you’ll have plenty of space to enjoy the activities you love.

With unspoilt beaches and glorious weather all year, you will be able to sit back, relax and enjoy your own slice of paradise when you’ve finished pushing your body to extremes.

Nepal

Whether you’re looking to conquer the tallest mountains or take to the skies, Nepal has everything a die-hard adrenaline junkie could ask for. Home to Mount Everest, you can enjoy a guided expedition that takes you up this wonder of the world. Based on your requirements, treks can last for days or weeks. This is not for the faint-hearted, and even the most hardened explorers will be pushed to their limits while ascending to the Everest Base Camp, but the views are sure to be spectacular.

If that wasn’t enough, Nepal also offers the Bhote Koshi Bungee Jump. At over 160m high, and suspended over the Bhote Kosi River on the border with Tibet, this exhilarating experience is sure to get your heart racing.

New Zealand

New Zealand, and Queenstown, in particular, is incredibly popular with thrill-seekers. Situated in the south-west of the country, Queenstown is home to the Ledge Bungee. This death-defying activity is sure to get even the most experienced of adrenaline junkies quaking in their boots. The jump is situated over 400m above the Queenstown Skyline, and it takes bungee jumping to a whole new level. This attraction comes with a special harness that allows you to do a handstand, twist or flip while you bungee – just in case a normal jump is too tame for you!

As well as the Ledge Bungee, Queenstown is great for hiking and exploring mountain trails. If you’re looking to add a twist to your adrenaline-fuelled activities, then New Zealand is the place you need to be.

Interlaken, Switzerland

The mountains in this Swiss resort offer the perfect playground for adrenaline junkies. Whether you’re into mountain climbing or taking to the waters, you’re sure to find it here. Bungee jumping from cable cars, canyoning, paragliding, helicopter skydives and rafting on the Lütschinen River are just some of the things that you can do at this resort. Interlaken really brings you closer to nature and makes you appreciate the sheer, rugged beauty of this part of Switzerland.

As well as getting that adrenaline pumping, Interlaken also inspires the senses. Just imagine diving out of a helicopter with the stunning Swiss Alps as your backdrop. There are many locations across the world that are ideal for adrenaline junkies, and booking your trip from an operator like Imagine Holidays can take you right to the heart of a huge selection of them.

Wales

You might not have associated Wales adrenaline-fuelled activities before, but you should really consider it if you’re looking for a new challenge. The mountainous Snowdonia National Park offers the perfect environment for mountain biking, hiking and zip wiring. All of these activities are set in a remote, unspoilt location in North-Western Wales, not too far from the border with England, so it’s relatively quick and easy to get to.

Conwy Falls is home to a 130m high zip wire that is 5km long. Wales Online labelled it as the UK’s scariest assault course and it’s easy to see why. The course comes with a 70ft drop into total darkness, and it even drops as low as 1,300ft in places – definitely not for the faint hearted!
