Jon Stevens has been charged with assault following an incident involving his fiancée, Jodhi Meares.
The Noiseworks singer was arrested at the couple’s Sydney home in the early hours of Monday morning, following reports of a domestic argument.
An interim Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) was issued to Stevens prohibiting the 52-year-old singer from approaching the 42-year-old model and fashion designer – ex-wife of Jamie Packer – for 4 weeks. He was released on bail.
Police may apply for a full AVO in Meares’ behalf when Stevens appears in court on Thursday, according to Fairfax Media.
“The matter is under police investigation so we can’t say any more at this stage,” Rose Bay police said.
