More tourists are visiting Australia than ever before, but why?

More reasons as to why you should soak up the sun in Sydney, Australia

Over the last few years, there has been a staggering increase in tourists visiting Australia. If it’s worth the 23 hour total flight, you know it has to be good, and that’s why I’m encouraging you to pack your bags, and do your best to sleep through that interminably long plane ride. Here are just some of the many reasons why you too should brave this epic trip and create memories that will last a lifetime:

The Beaches

You’ll never be short of stunning beaches in Australia. That, and the fantastic surf culture means that it’s a must for any traveller who likes to catch some waves, or is looking to learn – Australia has some of the finest surfing in the world (hey, if things go wrong, there is always flightright.co.uk, so don’t worry too much about cancelled journeys) – plot your destination for the big surf. Depending on your style, there is definitely a beach for you. You haven’t really lived until you’ve had a BBQ on the coast, under the Australian sun, and fully broken in your surfboard (even if it broke you too!).

Kangaroo Island

If you love wildlife, this is definitely for you. Originally inhabited by Indigenous Australians, Kangaroo Island is now a haven for animals.

You can see anything from basking sea lions to – you guessed it – wild kangaroos. This makes for a wonderful day out, just getting back to nature.

The Deserts

There’s something completely untamed about the vast Australian deserts. You will be able to find some of the most stunning and unique landscapes in the world here. It’s a place to truly feel at-one and separate from hectic city life. Desert road trip, anyone?

This definitely needs to be added to your bucket list. The majority of the Australian continent is comprised of this scenery, but is largely untouched.

Sydney Harbour

Aw c’mon, guys. It may be extremely clichéd in your mind, but visiting Sydney Harbour…it just has to be done. It’s a gorgeous view that you may have seen many times in pictures, but it doesn’t quite match up to the awe-inspiring real thing. Besides, Sydney is a great place to visit, so make the most of it!

Wine
Wine-lovers will not be disappointed. Australia is known for its gorgeous vino, and if you want the very best, travel south. Forget France or Italy, this is exactly where you should have your wine tour holiday. It just so happens that these sumptuous vineyards also come with wonderful restaurants, so you can’t go wrong. I recommend the Riesling Trail for unforgettable wine tasting.

Australians

It’s rare that you’d recommend a country, based on the people that live in it, but the Australians are notoriously down-to-earth. You will be able to make new ‘mates’ with some genuinely life-changing people and it’s likely that you’ll never want to leave.
