Ask any Australian in London where they were last night, and the answer will be same — the Shepherd’s Bush Walkabout Closing Down Party. The place was packed, as Aussies, Kiwis and Saffas united to bid farewell to this iconic pub in true Walkie style.
The sweat was dripping, the snakes were biting, and Deejay Wozza and the Bondi Beach Bums were pumping up the crowd with classic Antipodean rock. Some came dressed for the occasion, while others were taking the opportunity to return to the place where so many memories were made.
It was a night to remember.
The Shepherd’s Bush Walkabout will close its doors forever on 6 October, leaving one remaining Walkabout serving the Australian community in London at Temple.
