Monaco stretches over two square kilometres, but what it may not have in size, certainly compensates it in style, elegance and refinement. Although the size is small, Monaco is not among the places where you can get bored.

Surrounded by blue seas, the perfect weather with warm climate is perfect for palm trees that dot the strips. Exotic flowers and lush vegetation are abundant. The rock or as it is called  Le Rocher is one of the most famous areas of the principality, which is a large rocky cliff, which is also home to the main part of the city called Monaco-Ville. Easily accessible from Nice, France, this is the place for brilliance and glamor, and if you like to try your luck, you can spend time in the casinos here and cultivate your inner James Bond.

Monaco is situated on the bright French Riviera and is known for being a small principality ruled by the Prince of Monaco.

Things you can do in Monaco:

Enjoy a show at the Opera de Monte Carlo

The Monte Carlo Opera is known as the Salle Garnier.

The opera house is located on the famous Place de Casino and was built in 1878, and its main performance space is surrounded by pretty red and gold decorations.

There are also ornate sculptures here in the form of frescoes and sculptures. If you are passionate about opera, ballet or music concerts, do not miss the chance to participate in a show in this enchanting setting.

Visit the Monaco Cathedral

Monaco Cathedral houses the remains of former princes of Monaco, including Prince Rainier and is built in Roman-Byzantine style.

The cathedral was built in 1875. Beyond that, inside are found artefacts that are older, such as an altarpiece that was painted in 1500. Other objects not to be missed are a large organ, as well as the main throne, which is carved made of white marble.

The cathedral is a remarkable place due to the white stones that were used in its construction.

Visit the Monte Carlo Casino

It would be sad not to stop by the Monte Carlo Casino, which is one of the most famous casinos in the world, especially since it was built in the Beaux Arts style in 1893.

The name James Bond certainly tells you something, and if you are a fan, you will definitely enjoy the scenery, because it is said that this would have been the setting for the novel James Bond Casino Royale.

The casino has various gaming rooms, which are decorated in a variety of themes. Make sure you don’t miss any corners, admire the chandeliers and the amazing works while you try your luck.

And if you are not too familiar with the term casino and what is happening there, you can visit an online casino before.

Delight your eyes around Princess Grace Rose Garden

Prince Rainier III built the garden in memory of his wife who was killed in a car accident. It was first opened in 1984. The park is spread over four hectares of land and has a lake, protected by palm trees and has even a grove of olive trees.

Princess Grace’s Rose Garden can be much more captivating for those who were fans of the American actress Grace Kelly, who was married to the former prince of Monaco, Prince Rainier.

As the name suggests, there are over 8,000 roses here.

Stop by the Palais du Prince

The Palais du Prince is located above Monaco and was built in the 13th century, it is said that it was a Genoese fortress.

The tour of the palace can be done when the Prince is not in residence. This can be easily seen by looking for the flag in the main tower. The prince is at home when the flag is raised.

The most important parts of the tour include the Italian-style gallery, as well as the Blue Room, known for its blue and gold decorations.

There is also a decorated throne room and a palatine chapel.

These are just a few of the things you can do in Monaco.

Principality has many more things to offer and is waiting to be explored and admired in all its splendour.
