Olyroos beaten in warm-up

The Olyroos arrived in Beijing on Friday ahead of the Olympic Games after going down 1-0 to Korea in their final warm-up match.A well-taken strike from Korean striker Young-Rok Shin in the 24th minute was all that separated the two teams.

Opals upset USA then lose to China

THE AUSTRALIAN Defence Force Opals upset the United States at the ‘Good Luck Beijing 2008’ tournament in Beijing on Friday, defeating the world’s No.1 ranked team by fourteen points 74-60. The win speaks volumes for the depth of Australia’s talent pool, as both teams were missing their best players.
