Quiet week for the Aussie

The Australian Dollar (Aussie) started last week trading at 1.97 to the Pound and (apart from a very slight midweek depreciation) was relatively stable. The Australian exchange rate to the Pound was 1.975 at the close of business on Friday.

Olyroos beaten in warm-up

The Olyroos arrived in Beijing on Friday ahead of the Olympic Games after going down 1-0 to Korea in their final warm-up match.A well-taken strike from Korean striker Young-Rok Shin in the 24th minute was all that separated the two teams.
