London Irish news: Squad named for final home match of the season

London Irish Director of Rugby Declan Kidney has confirmed his squad to host Wasps Rugby in their final home game of the 2020/21 season.

The Round 21 clash will host a limited capacity crowd of 4 000 supporters at the Brentford Community Stadium for the 16:30 kick-off (live on BT Sport 2).

In the front row, props Will Goodrick-Clarke and Ollie Hoskins are joined by Agustin Creevy.

An Australian international duo of Adam Coleman and Rob Simmons are named as the second row partnership. Matt Rogerson is at openside flanker and Blair Cowan captains the side from blindside flanker. Albert Tuisue completes the pack from No 8.

Nic Groom and Paddy Jackson are the halfbacks, and Terrence Hepetema links up with Curtis Rona in the centres.

Ollie Hassell-Collins and James Stokes are selected on the wings and Tom Parton is at fullback.

“This is our final home game of the season, so we are delighted that we get to welcome 4 000 supporters into the stands,” said Declan Kidney.

“Wasps play a free-flowing brand of rugby, so it has the makings of a good game of rugby. Both sides know the importance of the result, but we’re just focusing on our own performance.

“The squad and staff are excited to get back in front of our supporters, and I want to thank them for their support over this tough year. Enjoy the game!”
