The woman who Robert Allenby claims found him in a park after being kidnapped, bashed and robbed, has given a conflicting account of the incident.
Speaking to Australia’s Nine News, the homeless woman said that the golfer was arguing with two men about a block away from the bar where he had been dining in Waikiki, Hawaii when she found him “bloodied and confused” on Friday night.
She claims Allenby asked her to withdraw $500 cash using his credit card so he could pay his attackers to get his wallet and phone back, according to Nine News.
The woman’s account differs from that given by Allenby who says he was thrown into the boot of a car and dumped in a park 10kms from the bar.
Honolulu police say they have CCTV footage of a suspect wanted over the attack.

Robert Allenby appeared bloodied and bruised on television describing his bizarre abduction ordeal in Hawaii.
The 43-year-old Australian golfer had been dining at AMUSE Wine Bar in a popular tourist area of Waikiki on Friday when the shocking attack apparently took place.
Allenby alleges his drink was spiked before being kidnapped. He said he was knocked unconscious, thrown into the boot of a car and then dumped in a park some 10km away.
The golfer says a homeless woman found him in the park, dazed and beaten, without his phone or wallet, and he was soon helped back into town by a passing driver.
In an interview on American network NBC on Sunday, the golfer said it was “scary”, likening the incident to a Hollywood film.
“I’ve watched Taken and Taken 2 a few times and it’s kinda like a spitting image,” Allenby said.
“I’m just very thankful that I’m alive.”
He also appeared on the Australian morning news programmes on Monday, giving the same account.
Allenby had been competing at the US PGA Tour’s Sony Open tournament on the island of Oahu, but failed to make the third round cut. He was due to play at the Humana Challenge this week but it is not clear if he will take part.
