Rittenhouse has been on trial for three weeks following the fatal shooting in Kenosha.
According to Rittenhouse, he had always looked up to law enforcement and encouraged the decision to protect the businesses in danger during the protests.
After a long three weeks which was initially sought to be two weeks and three days, the jury found Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty.
The decision outraged many users online who accused the judge of being biased. This debate has also been aroused by a ringtone that the judge had which suddenly rang during the trial.
The alleged ringtone was recalled to be God bless America and is usually played when Trump makes an entrance to do his presidential speech.
To some, this was also evidence of the racial privilege that the whites have in the country.
During the trial, Kyle explained that he acted out of self-defense during the encounter with Joseph Rosenbaum. It was made clear that Joseph suffered from bipolar disorder which in effect made him an aggressor in this case.
As Rittenhouse took to the stand to explain the event, his mother could audibly be heard crying in the audience.
To date, students are requesting Rittenhouse to be removed from Arizona State University as students feel the verdict was not fair in any way. These students also call him “murderer Kyle Rittenhouse”
