Netanyahu deploys Chuck Norris in Israel election… no, really!

Chuck Norris is once again the surprise last-minute gun-for-hire rolled out on the eve the Israel election. No, this is not a joke.

The B-grade American movie hardman – and hardcore evangelical Christian – has stumped up for a video in support of incumbent political hardman Benjamin Netanyahu and his right-wing Likud party as they slipped behind in the polls on the eve of the vote.

“I have done three movies in Israel, Delta Force being my favourite, and I formed many friendships while there,” Chuck Norris says in the campaign advert broadcast on Monday.

“You have an incredible country and we want to keep it that way. That’s why it’s so important to keep a leader who has the courage and vision to stand up against the evil forces that are threatening not only Israel, but the United States. So, I ask you to vote for Prime Minister Netanyahu on election day. Thank you for listening to me.”

A notoriously right wing and evangelical Christian, Norris is no stranger to throwing a few of his legendary punches and kicks around the political spheres of (a-hem) God’s two most blessed nations. When the Lord’s own mighty hand just isn’t enough, there’s only one man to do the job – Chuck Norris.

He made a similar advert for Likud back in 2013:

And in 2012, freedom loving Chuck and his wife released this message for the US election. In this foreboding message to fellow evangelicals, Norris warns America against slipping in to socialism “or something much worse!”
