Movie World has almost experienced an extreme tragedy after a boy fell from a carousel ride. This comes just one week into the school holidays.
According to Daily Mail, the incident is said to have taken place at 1 pm on Tuesday afternoon. While the boy is injured, he does not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
It has since been revealed that the boy had suffered a deep cut on his head which would otherwise be described as lacerations on his head.
Typically, one would die from an injury to the head but this case has been extremely lucky. Doctors who are treating the boy relayed that the nurses did a good job treating him at Movie World.
Thus far, Movie World has made a statement about the incident but refuses to make any further comment on the matter.
‘The safety and wellbeing of guests and team members is our top priority at Village Roadshow Theme Parks and we are committed to providing guests with a fun and safe environment.’
Right now, the boy is in a critical but stable condition. An investigation will now be launched and the ride has since been closed off at Movie World.
This horrific incident comes nearly five years after four adults were crushed to death in a Thunder River Rapids ride. Two girls aged 10 and 11 were miraculously thrown to safety in 2016.

As reported by Brisbane Times, if it were not for the good first aid the guest had received at Movie World, the situation would probably have been a lot worse.
The Gold Coast mayor Tom Tate said that his thoughts were with the boy and his family.
