Gayle Shann and her husband Mac first captured the hearts of Australians in 2002. The couple now reflects on their past and present in a new interview.

At the time Gayle first lost her right arm in a traumatic accident at the rural home, things looked pretty dire as she would soon find that her left arm is paralyzed.

Family and friends avoided telling Gayle that her left arm was paralyzed for a fear that she might not want to live altogether.

Gayle wouldn’t change a thing

Nearly 20 years after the horrific accident, Gayle reflects on her life and reveals that she will not change a thing about her life. She continued to say that she could not have imagined being as happy as she is right now.

Over the years, Mrs. Shann has become very much independent regardless of relying on her husband for most of what she needs.

Mrs. Shann now contributes a great deal to their businesses by taking responsibility for bookkeeping with her large keyboard and mouse.

While Mr. and Mrs. Shann has made it work over the past two decades, the couple surely has a different dynamic when it comes to dealing with conflict.

Mr. Shann revealed that there is no “cooling period” after a fight with his wife and this shines a big light on how phenomenal the couple really is.

The couple currently does not have any children and decided on this years ago. The idea of being dependent on people frustrated Gayle. However, taking care of the animals helped fill the void.

Mac even does Gayle’s make-up! Love certainly lives here.
