Dramatic footage of Singapore Airlines flight on fire

The drama at Changi airport on Monday, as a Singapore Airlines plane caught fire after an emergency landing, was captured on the cameras of stunned onlookers and passengers.

In the video above, you can see the whole episode unfold from across the tarmac as firefighters rushed to the stricken aircraft and battled to extinguish the flames pouring from its right wing as thick black smoke billowed into the sky.

Passengers aboard flight SQ368 sound suprisingly calm as the fire engulfs the engine and wing, which some of them filmed the from inside the cabin.

The Singapore airlines plane was bound for Milan when it was forced to turn back two hours into the flight after suffering an oil leak.

The 241 passengers and crew aboard escaped unharmed.
