Accused rapist Bruce Lehrmann seeks delay in the trial

Previously, Bruce Lehrmann pleaded for the date to be extended after he was left with no legal representation. That is, a week before he was set to take part in the trial.

So far, the accused has pleaded not guilty to charges that he has raped Brittany Higgins who is a former Liberal staffer. To date, Higgins shared that Lehrmann raped her in an office in Parliament House in 2019.

Now, Bruce Lehrmann’s new legal representative pleads that his case is postponed. Given the attention that the case is now getting after the Logie Awards last night.

Right now, Journalist, Ms. Wilkinson has won an award for outstanding media coverage. Following her speech, Lehrmann’s new barrister shared that he checked social media and all the comments made about Mr. Lehrmann which were evidently unflattering.
