Britney Higgins case prolonged as accuser seeks new counsel

Britney Higgins might possibly have her trial delayed as her accuser seeks a new counsel that dropped out. Thus far, her accuser has pleaded not guilty.

So far, Britney is one of the few women that have come out to share their abuse stories. Previously, former Australian of the year Grace Tame spoke harshly against those who did not believe her.

Currently, the court case dealing with Britney Higgins and her accuser Bruce Lehrmann could be suspended until the 20th of June or possibly the 27th of June.

According to the Daily Mail, Bruce Lehrmann has pleaded not guilty to his charge of sexual intercourse without consent. The trial is set to take place over four weeks. Right now, the accused has tried to get the trial to take place on a later stage.

While he is willing to be tried on the charges, Lehrmann is maintaining his innocence regarding the accusations. This event took place in 2019 when no one believed Ms. Higgins.

Fortunately, her accuser is now going to be tried in court. It is uncertain when he will be able to find a new counsel in time for Monday.
