The ANZAC Day events in London will be jointly organised by the Australian and New Zealand High Commissions and Defence Staffs. They include a dawn service at Hyde Park Corner, wreath laying parade and ceremony at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, followed by a service of commemoration held at Westminster Abbey.
In the continuing spirit of ANZAC, the Australian and New Zealand High Commissioners have agreed that the location of the London dawn service will be held in alternating years at each country’s memorial, with wreath laying each year at both.
The memorials are located diagonally opposite each other at Hyde Park Corner. The dawn service will be held this year at the Australian War Memorial and next year it will be at the New Zealand Memorial.
