Alec Baldwin and others are currently under questioning relating to an accidental shooting on a film set in New Mexico.

An investigation is currently underway involving a fatal shooting of Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and the Injury of filmmaker Joe Souza.

Loaded gun handed to Alec Baldwin

No rounds were in the weapons before the shooting. Many were unaware the gun was loaded with live ammunition.

During filming, Mr. Alec Baldwin was handed what he had thought was a safe gun.

It was brought to the attention that firearms were kept in a safe in a white truck and only a few people knew the combination to it.

“I think there was some complacency on this set,” Sherrif Mendoza further added that the industry has recently had a reputation for being safe regardless of the latter.

No firm answers can be given

District attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies says will not be making any comments until more information has been found. Further noting that any hypothetical scenarios will not help the case.

“It will take many more facts, corroborated facts before we get to that criminal negligence standard.”

The police have so far recovered 500 rounds of ammunition, including blanks and dummy rounds. They believe there to have been more live rounds on set.

Crew members are cooperating

Currently, the film Rust has been put on a halt regarding the investigation taking place. Alec Baldwin and others have since been cooperative in the case.

At present, investigators will be following up on reports that there were incidents involving misfires with guns used on set. The case seems to be a complex one as many will be undergoing questioning thus far. Nothing will be ruled out at this time.

Film Armourer blames producers
