Vogue photoshoot with Zelensky and wife sparks criticism

Amid the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, the public thinks Zelensky’s Vogue photoshoot is a little over tone deaf to the current crisis.

Vogue has Zelensky and his wife on the new digital cover of their magazine. However, the public are strongly condemning the timing of the photoshoot and the inclusion of the president in the latest issue.

Ukraine president receives tons of backlash

Right now, the intentions of Vogue to bring the current crisis in Ukraine may be the best and the worst thing they’ve decided to do. Thus far, many social media users are calling the latest initiative as tone deaf.

While the intentions are pure, the timing of the photoshoot seems inappropriate to most. Presently, the current crisis will no doubt be recognized by the public in the forms of millions.

However, to pose on the cover of Vogue is not the idea people were getting to solve the current war between Russia and Ukraine.

Zelensky graces the Vogue cover

To date, Russia invaded Ukraine quite suddenly and without warning. Thus far, many soldiers have been lost while many historical buildings have been destroyed in Ukraine.

Currently, the Vogue pictures of Zelensky and his wife has gone viral and many seem to have their opinion on the matter. Whatever the intention, it still seems a bit out of touch to have a photoshoot amid a war.

Here are some of the responses to the Vogue photoshoot that has since gone viral.
