Tony Abbott replaces Hugh Grant in remake of ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’

Video editor Huw Parkinson has struck again, this time inserting Tony Abbott’s Australia Day announcement of the knighting of Prince Philip into the opening scene from the iconic British film, Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Wedding guests chuckling and chortle at Abbott’s announcement as they did with Hugh Grant’s awkward best man speech.

“I’m pleased that the Queen has seen fit to award knighthoods in the Order of Australia to Prince Philip. I think we’ve had a good thrash at this one,” says Abbott as the crowd, like many other Australians, burst into hysterical laughter.

The video’s creator Huw Parkinson was also behind the hilarious Seinfeld in Parliament compilation.
