Platinum Jubilee or four days of festivities has officially kicked off and Britain is making sure that the Queen is getting in as much of the fun as possible.
Thus far, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be living in Los Angeles now but they made sure to be at the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
While Prince Charles and Catherine were among those on the balcony with Queen Elizabeth, notably, Prince Harry and Meghan were not on the balcony.
So far, the Platinum Jubilee has been eventful. As the streets are filled with people in order to see the festivities surrounding the Queen’s Jubilee.
Right now, the Queen will be the longest-reigning monarch at Buckingham Palace. Sadly, the 96-year-old Queen will be celebrating this without her dear husband who passed on in 2021.
So, the four-day public holiday will see festivities such as street parties and of course, some tea and cookies! So far, wouldn’t be a British celebration or a Platinum Jubilee without it.
Now, while Britain might be celebrating something exciting, some protesters have been making their way off the railings. Throwing themselves down while a marching band made its way through the mall.
According to The Guardian, the Metropolitan police wasted no time in attending to the protesters and walking them away from the marching band. In that way, it did not take away from the Platinum Jubilee.
“Thank you to the crowd who showed their support by clapping our officers who returned to their post after dealing with the incident swiftly.”
