Mona Lisa has become one of the most popular paintings around for decades. Recently, a man dressed as a woman in a wheelchair attempted to vandalize the painting with cream.

Protester vandalizes Mona Lisa painting

Luckily, the Mona Lisa painting is protected by bulletproof glass which made it impossible for the perpetrator to ruin the painting.

This is not the first time the Mona Lisa painting was attempted to be damaged. According to News.com, in 2009 a woman threw a ceramic cup. Apparently, this was in frustration with not getting French citizenship.

Thus far, the unnamed attacker came into the building with a wheelchair when he suddenly jumped up from the wheelchair and threw cream onto the painting. To his dismay, the painting was protected by bulletproof glass.

Activists protecting the earth

Right now, the attack is reported to be related to the Earth with the attacker saying ‘think of the earth’ as he was escorted out of the building.

So far, the situation did not escalate too much as the attacker calmly left the building as security escorted him out. Right now, it is alleged that painters claim they are taking care of the earth but they are not.
