For some, Kim Kardashian should never have worn the dress as Marilyn Monroe only wore it once. Therefore her dress was considered to be one of the most iconic pieces to be around.

However, this did not stop Kim from losing 60 pounds and continued to gush about how determined she was about wearing this iconic dress to the Met Gala.
This year, Kim Kardashian attended the Met Gala with her boyfriend Pete Davidson, sporting the Marilyn Monroe dress she spent six weeks fitting in.

Thus far, it seems that collector Scott Fortner did not want all the backlash at Kim after posting photos about the damage done to the dress. According to Sky News, Mr. Fortner feels that more should have been done to protect the dress from being worn.
“I do feel that it (was) irresponsible, this is not just a dress. This is a cultural icon. It’s a political icon. It’s a Hollywood icon.”
