Love Island receives over 400 complaints about misogynistic behavior

Love Island isn’t exactly a show where people find love a lot of the time. However, some couple’s do scream couple goals while others do not.

Recently though, the last movie night this past Monday, caused viewers to be upset by the male contestant’s behavior about the unseen clips they have seen recently. 

To date, Ofcom has reported that they have received over 400 complaints about the show. Viewers reportedly expressed that the male contestants on Love Island were bullying their partners and accused of misogynistic behavior. 

Thus far, a few couples on the Island have had their fair share of drama. Following some footage, they have seen recently.

Most notably, Luca Bish is one of the contestants on Love Island that got the most backlash as he threatened Gemma Owen by means of talking to another girl. 

This comes as newcomer Billy and Gemma were filmed talking to one another during Casa Amor. So far, Gemma Owen did not entertain Billy’s advances but Luca was still infuriated with their interaction.

As shared by 9News, the male contestants have reacted much more strongly to the never before seen footage. To date, fans are much more concerned with the double standards on the show.

Presently, Dami Hope’s antics during Casa Amor screams double standards as he kissed three girls and Indiya even noted how long the kisses were. 

So far, Love Island producers have stressed that the well-being of the cast is their highest priority on the show with psychologists on standby for the contestants.
