Lizzo changes lyrics to Grrrls single within hours of complaints

Lizzo has responded to fans with a message about her new song that received plenty of criticism. Thus far, the star acted very swiftly in changing the lyrics to her song.

Right now, fans are praising Lizzo as she now redeemed herself as one who stands up for those who have been marginalized by other people. It is with this that she emphasized her message. 

“As a fat black woman in America, I’ve had many hurtful words used against me so I overstand the power words can have (whether intentionally or in my case, unintentionally.”

As many may know, Lizzo has also come to endure a lot of public scrutiny for the way she dresses her body and what she wears as a big girl. However, the singer has made a point about loving her body regardless. 

According to Entertainment Weekly, Lizzo released her song Grrrls from her sophomore album Special. But, this quickly gained a lot of negative attention. 

Fans commend her swift response

So far, the public outrage centered on one word Lizzo used in her song Grrrls. The word ‘Spaz’ used in her song was allegedly used to describe someone who is out of control or someone who could not control themselves.

Ever since fans of Lizzo have shared their frustrations with this lyric of her song as they described it as a slur and not a term that is used positively.

Thus far, fans have been commending Lizzo in her swift response to her fans as the song was changed within a matter of hours after her fans shared their dislike for the term.
