Johnny Depp will not be returning to Pirates of the Caribbean

Johnny Depp won the defamation trial against his ex-wife a few weeks ago. With this end result, many were hoping that the actor will return as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Following his grueling six-week trial, the jury ultimately sided with Depp as they expressed the way Amber Heard made them uncomfortable with her crocodile tears.

Lawyers for Johnny Depp speak out on the rumors

Thus far, the rumors spread that Johnny Depp will be returning as Captain Jack Sparrow is false. The report read that Johnny was offered a $300 million contract to play the character as well as money donated to a charity of his choice.

Unfortunately, these reports have been slashed and reported to be false as the lawyers for Johnny Depp shared that Jonny vowed under oath that he will not return to the franchise after the defamation lawsuit.

To date, a rep for Johnny Depp told NBC that “This is made up” and that Disney and the actor are not in talks about his character being revived again.

News on Captain Sparrow returning a hoax

Presently, some believed that Captain Jack Sparrow would be getting his own film or series about his childhood. There have been some talks about Margot Robbie allegedly joining this project but this was also reported to be false.
