The Castle – An Australian Classic Remembered Years Later

The Castle is a loved film all around Australia and has been part of many important days.

As the Kerrington family wormed its way into Aussies hearts since the year 1997, it still proves to be one of the best films around.

The family’s popular phrases have been used all around, poking fun at the humor of the family’s expressions. I’m sure there is a lad somewhere in Australia who has many ideas.

In this popular film, the Kerrington family fight to stay in the home which is close to the airport. Funny enough, the family seem to think of this as the ideal living situation.

While the family might be happy, others seem to think it absurd to live in the middle of nowhere at an airport station. What a view that must be!

Impressively, the film only took five weeks to create and approximately 11 days to film. Upon its release, the film made $10 000 at the box office.

In a survey by the Australia day council, Australians named The Castle as the movie that most represents Australia.

After many years, the shows popularity still continues to shine through today. This is one of the biggest moments in popular culture to date.
