Squid Game is officially renewed for a second season after the first season came to be a huge success in 2021. Just recently, the writer, producer, and director of the series shared that the series will come back to Netflix.

Squid Game is coming back in 2023 or 2024

Thus far, Squid Game is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2023 or even 2024. Now, this is a long wait, but the producer is adding some new characters to the popular Korean drama.

If you can recall the notorious animatronic robot, it surely is back this time. But, she will have a companion this time around which is double trouble for the next row of players.

Previously, season 1 of Squid Game saw a bunch of eager money hungry individuals. All of which have one thing in common. That is, each of them is bad with money and is in extreme need of loads of money.

The producer teases new characters

Taking this to their advantage, a sales recruiter somehow manages to target every person who is in dire need of money. By target, I mean playing a game for money. This eventually leads to people being lured in to play for bigger money.

The only problem is, that the players in Squid Game will be playing children’s games. But in a much more dangerous fashion. Alas, playing for money in this game does not have its perks as when you lose, you will lose your life – tragically.

Apart from money struggles, Squid Game delves into the relationships between complete strangers who will either help you or betray you. They are playing for money after all.

At the end of the day, players in Squid Game have everything to lose which is either their lives or go back to their normal lives and continue to struggle in paying off their debts. The answer for most is the latter.

Right now, the edge keeper in the series is who gest to live or die. After everything, players continue to die until there is ultimately one winner left.
