The fact is that 2022 has actually only just begun, and yet many cinema fans are already waiting for the highlights in 2023. This is just as exciting as playing casino live for many people. Of course, 2022 also offers a number of long-awaited blockbusters, presumably the fan community is waiting extremely impatiently for Avatar2. Just as excited and expectant, however, are very many fans, regarding the cinema year 2023. Therefore, here is an overview of what is expected for the year 2023.

The following blockbusters are what fans are waiting for in 2023

A large part of the film highlights in 2023 are sequels to successful films, for example, it is already the 10th part of Fast & Furious that will be released in theaters.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

With Guardians of the Galaxy 3, the third film finally comes to the galaxy guardians on the big screen. As you would expect, the group around Peter Quill is once again faced with new difficulties in space, which they must once again overcome together.

Plot: The Guardians are finally reunited after the death of Thanos in “Avengers: Endgame”. But before the Guardians finally set out on their quest to find Gamora, who was sacrificed by Thanos but still remains in the past tense, there is a first reunion with the space heroes with the Guardians in Thor 4: Love and Thunder.

Indiana Jones 5

In his parade role as Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford is finally in action for a fifth time. This time, the legendary adventurer will take a trip around the globe. In addition to many unexpected encounters, the hero with the whip in his hand will again have plenty of unwanted pursuers. Rumor has it that “Indiana Jones 5” will be a time travel film. The exact circumstances of his time travel are of course not yet known. But there are rumors that a former Nazi wants to change the course of history with the help of a time machine. Indy’s mission, of course, is to thwart these plans.

Dune 2

When Paul arrives in the Sietch of the Fremen, the first person he meets is Harah. She is Jami’s wife. However, by the end of the film, Paul has killed Jamis. Because of the rules of the Fremen, Paul now has a choice. He can either take Harah as his wife or accept her as his servant. Paul, however, is completely unfamiliar with this custom, so he decides to take Harah as his servant. Automatically, Paul is thus also responsible for Harah’s children. One of them is from Jamis. At the moment, however, it is not clear whether this part will also appear in Dune 2. It is conceivable, for example, that Harah has been removed from the story. The focus would then be more on the relationship between Paul and Chani. Paul was always haunted by visions during his time with the Fremen. Here, the future looks very bleak, as the Fremen have become a deadly army, roaming the universe for a holy war.

John Wick 4

He has already put a stop to countless enemies and he had to restore his reputation in John Wick 3. First Winston and the loyal concierge Charon have his back. But then they seemingly kill him. But the problem of “John Wick” is not so easy to get out of the way. The fallen anti-hero is saved by the self-appointed Bowery King. However, the latter has previously had to cede his kingdom to the High Chamber. In the sequel, Wick and Bowery King team up and go on the hunt for the members of the High Chamber. It remains to be seen whether they can get old acquaintances like Sofia on their side. It is already clear that a lot of time will pass between the end of “John Wick 3” and the beginning of “John Wick 4”. The action heroes will use this time to regenerate their strength and strike back.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania

Scott Lang, best known as Ant-Man, is caught between two roles. On one side is the superhero and on the other he is the loving father of Cassie. But now Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym plunge him into a new adventure. Once again, Scott has to put on the superhero suit. He also has to team up with Wasp. While searching for Hope’s mother, the two uncover secrets from the past. Of course, the two also get to deal with a new and powerful enemy.

Shazam! 2

In the sequel to the superhero movie, Billy Batson is joined by his foster siblings Freddy, Mary, Pedro, Eugene and Darla in having superpowers. They all together now apparently have to take on three villains, which promises a lot of entertainment. The three sisters Hespera, Kalypso and also the youngest are all daughters of the Titan Atlas, who gives Shazam some of his powers. Not included, however, are the villains Mister Mind and Dr. Sivana, who were teased in the end credits scene of the first part.

Fast & Furious 10

For 20 years now, Fast & Furious has been synonymous with gnarly cars and spectacular action. Since the previous 9 parts already brought in a total of 6.6 billion dollars at the box office, it comes as little surprise that parts 10 and 11 are to form the finale of the “Fast & Furious” saga. There are no details yet regarding the plot in Fast & Furious 10, but it is assumed that this will be a story that spans Part 10 and Part 11. However, that would also be a first for Fast & Furios.

Oppenheimer

This historical film by Christopher Nolan is all about the creation of the atomic bomb and the role of the scientist Oppenheimer. In his twelfth film, Christopher Nolan devotes himself to the scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer (1904-1967) and the role played by the invention of the atomic bomb. Here Cillian Murphy slips into the role of the scientist who, as a renowned physicist, became the head of the top-secret Manhattan Project and also a German star joins the cast. Over the period of 3 years, more than 150,000 people worked on the Manhattan Project. Thus, the USA succeeded in completing the atomic bomb. This was followed by the dropping of two bombs targeting Hiroshima and Nagasaki. When the devastating effects on people became apparent, Oppenheimer vehemently lobbied to ensure that no more were dropped.
