Elder Park Fireworks Show Scrapped This Year For Smaller show

Elder Park fireworks show will be scrapped this year for a smaller show at Rymill Park. The capacity allowed is 5000 people which is less than the over 80 000 who usually flock to Elder Park each year

Elder Park show

While a smaller audience will be allowed at the fireworks show, the Fireworks will be in view of the entire city of Adelaide.

The show has been planned in a way that many will be able to view or see from wherever they may be. So, if you might not be part of the 5000 lot, you won’t be missing out on anything.

Vaccination Mark to be reached

This smaller group comes as the city has not reached its 90% vaccination mark yet. When and if this happens, a bigger group of people will be considered to attend the event.

As many find it tradition to attend the fireworks show in Elder Park every year, it has been emphasized that the show has been extended to the entire cities view.

Adelaide will be celebrating in other ways

The city of Adelaide will be able to view the fireworks from their destination. Since it might be a bummer to those who like to celebrate with fireworks, other alternatives are still available.

In the wake of this news, a few streets will be closing as a street party will be hosted on new years eve to cater to those who will not be in attendance.

If the city reaches its vaccination target of 90% before New Year’s Eve a larger audience can be expected.
