Dee Smart to do community services after assaulting a child

Dee Smart is best known for her role on Home and Away which catapulted her to national fame. Back in January this year, the actress was caught on camera losing her cool on a child.

Right now, Dee Smart is expected to commit two years of community service in her corrections order. Before this, the actress requested that the charges be dropped on mental health grounds but this was denied. 

While appearing on camera, Dee is heard admitting to “just snapping and hitting and punching the child. Thus far, a witness shared the details of the assault dating back to January.

To date, Dee Smart has driven away from her acting career to pursue other interests such as painting. After a lengthy career, the actress decided that she would become an artist. 

According to the Daily Mail, Dee Smart was diagnosed with cancer in 2019 and has shared details about her recovery as well as her new career endeavor.

Dee Smart served with two years of community service

Back in December 2019, Dee Smart had a larger tumor removed from her bladder and has subsequently been recovering as a result thereof. 

Presently, Smart was seen punching and hitting the child over the head in the video footage obtained. Thereafter the screaming child was faced with a bottle thrown against his ribs.

Right now, there aren’t apparent motivations behind the assault other than the fact that Dee was heard yelling “Look at what you’ve done” while cussing at the individual. 

During her days at Home and Away, the actress was previously unhappy about the transition of her character and would soon ask to terminate it. While production told her to fulfill her contract duties, they quickly let go of the actress.
