Baz Luhrmann: Filmmaker’s former apartment sells for $8 million

Baz Luhrmann has recently finished up his latest project which is the Elvis film. He has received much praise for the direction he took with the film honoring the late musician.

Right now, something from Baz Luhrmann’s past is representative of how far he has come in his life. This comes as his previous apartment has been sold again. But this time it has sold for a whopping $8.1 million.

The beachside apartment includes three bedrooms and a lavish finish to the rest of the rooms. Baz Luhrmann and his designer wife owned the apartment. from 2002 to 2005. Before selling it for just over $3 million.

Thus far, Baz Luhrmann seems to be hinting at retiring from filming as he shared he might not make another movie again. The Filmmaker is best known for the Great Gatsby film released many years ago. 

Baz Luhrmann hints at retirement

According to the Daily Mail, Baz Luhrmann is keen on helping those looking to be in the industry. He shared that he would like to educate those about how he directed films previously. 

His latest work Elvis has received much praise at the Cannes Film Festival as it received over ten minutes of a standing ovation. Right now, it seems that this might be the last project he will be working on.

For Luhrmann, his projects have always been centered on historical periods and it has therefore been meant to be to make a film about the late music legend Elvis Presley. 

The musician’s late wife also took part in the direction of where the film went and showed up at the film festival in support of Baz Luhrmann.
