Aphid proves to be the most difficult Wordle challenge

Aphid is not exactly a word one would come across every day and it’s surely not one you would use in conversation profusely.

This Thursday, Wordle players discovered a new word that actually did not come across as real. To date, Aphid is a word that describes a particularly peculiar circumstance. 

While Wordle players are lovers of words in general, their vocabulary was surely tested in the latest challenge. 

Right now, many users are expressing their frustration with challenge 379. However, it luckily did not cost anyone a streak. 

Players give up finding the word of the day

Thus far, Aphid refers to insects that feed off the juices of plants. However simple that sounds, players could get to this word by themselves. So far, their frustration lies with the New York Times which are the creators of the game.

One user wrote, “I absolutely give up” while another said, “Wordle 397 this was the hardest puzzle I’ve ever had to solve in my adult life.”

Previously, the word Pinto was by far one of the most difficult words for Wordle players which simply refers to spots, similar to what would you would see on speckled eggs or beans.

Regardless of how difficult the challenge was today, players have surely gotten a boost in their vocabulary. Now, users can describe the process of insects feeding on plants with the use of the word Aphid. 

As shared by Woman and Home, there are countless hacks that can assist you with your score on Wordle or to simply get better at it. 

While the challenge may have been hard, the positive thing is that the new words are now added to your vocabulary even if you may not use it, now you know it.
