The world of Westeros includes Ed Sheeran? Who knew?! So, the globe has watched the premiere episode of HBO’s hit-series, Game of Thrones.
The long-anticipated premiere smashed records as fans tuned in to follow the fates of their favorite characters for another season of fire vs. ice, followed by blood and betrayal. As we know what a Game of Thrones episode is all about, there were a few surprises in there – but the biggest of them all was probably Ed Sheeran’s cameo.
The Shape of You singer made an appearance as a soldier. While he sang a song before encountering Arya Stark, the internet completely freaked out once they realized it was actually Ed himself.
Twitter users had quite a lot to say. Before ‘Twitter critics’ became too much, it came up to a point where the singer actually deleted his Twitter account. Just goes to show nobody is safe from the internet.
And now it seems the singer isn’t done with making appearances on shows yet. It was recently revealed that Ed will also make a cameo on The Simpsons, as a character reportedly caught up in a love triangle with Lisa Simpson.
When that will happen isn’t clear.
