Each year renowned industry insiders as well as gaming clients from all tiers of the gaming world get together to honour those who excel in bringing excellence to punters in all parts of the world, whether this be for providing an online casino experience on smartphones or tablet, or managing a luxurious brick-and-mortar casino.
Among the 24 categories in the annual IGAs judges need to pick winners for Casino Operator of the Year in the Americas, Europe and Asia/Australia, as well as categories as diverse as Payment Solutions Provider of the Year, a Security Innovation Award, the Online Sportsbook Operator of the Year, Online Bingo Operator of the Year and the most highly coveted Online Casino Operator of the Year.
To celebrate their runaway victory as Online Casino Operator of the Year 2017, LeoVegas decided to share the love by offering all punters a LeoVegas Casino promotion and give away £200,000 in cash, trips and many more prizes.
It’s no easy feat to walk away with one of the IGA Star gongs. Every year in October an esteemed global judging panel of industry experts from the land based and online gambling sector sit down and review the nominations for the 24 awards given to the very best the industry has seen during the previous 12 months. The Judging panel is separated into two groups, those who review and judge on operator categories and those who review on supplier/manufacturer categories. Secret voting is conducted over a two to three week period to determine who the eventual winner in each category will be.
The winners are then announced at an annual glitzy charity black tie event at The Savoy in London where the who’s who of the entire gaming industry come together to celebrate true excellence in the international gaming experience. Every IGA awards ceremony dedicates proceeds to an annual charity drive, supporting over the years charities such as CARE International’s life-changing emergency relief and long-term international development projects around the world, Children with Cancer UK, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and The Responsible Gambling Trust.
As innovation leaders in mobile gaming entertainment, LeoVegas is no novice to success, bagging both the IGA Online Casino Operator of the Year and Casino Operator of the Year (Gaming Intelligence Awards) in 2016 with Gustaf Hagman, Group CEO and Co-Founder of LeoVegas, saying being crowned the leading online casino operator is proof that mobile makes gaming more fun – and proves that “LeoVegas is all about the greatest gaming experience”.
