Anzac Day services in London 2017 – where and when

Official Anzac Day services in London On Tuesday 25th April 2017 are as follows:

Please note: Ticket applications for the Wreath Laying Ceremony and Parade at the Cenotaph and the Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey have now closed. Tickets are NOT required for the Dawn Service.

Anzac Day Dawn Service @ Australian War Memorial, Hyde Park Corner in London (5.00am)

The main service will take place in front of the Australian War Memorial at Hyde Park Corner.  The service will be approximately 45 minutes in length and is open to the public.  Tickets are not required to attend.  Entry will be from the Green Park side of Hyde Park Corner only and arrival is suggested from 4.00am.

Wreath Laying Ceremony and Parade @ The Cenotaph, Whitehall (11.00am)

Following a march onto Whitehall, a requiem is read and at 11.00am the High Commissioners for Australia and New Zealand will lay the first wreaths.  Wreaths are then laid by representatives of the UK government, High Commissioners and Ambassadors, as well as representatives from various service and ex-service organisations.

Arrival by 10.30am is recommended.  The service will conclude at approximately 11.15am, allowing time for the short walk to Westminster Abbey.

Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving @ Westminster Abbey (12.00pm)

The Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving to mark ANZAC Day commences at 12.00 noon.  Guests must be seated by 11.45am and the service will last approximately one hour.
