What a year it’s been for Australian music in the UK.
To think one of the hottest bands on the London indie scene right now, The Temper Trap, are still proud to call Australia home is great for the Aussie name.
While Kylie and Natalie Imbruglia still lead the charge as the most iconic Australia performers on the UK scene, many other acts made their mark in 2009.
Wolfmother continue to rise to great fame, as did Little Red and Empire Of The Sun, the Brits are never shy to give Tommy Emmanuel a deserved standing ovation and Lisa Mitchell is making bigger waves in the UK each time she visits. Rolf Harris was honoured by 80,000 people chanting his name at Glastonbury.
News of the shock split of Melbourne band Mammal marred the last quarter of the year, but news that Ezekiel Ox is reforming his original band shed a little light on a sombre scene.
