Why not, treat yourself to a few days off, while on the French Mediterranean coast and let yourself be enchanted by the atmosphere of the pomp and the beauty that Monaco stands for? With these tips, you will learn everything you need to know about this particular city-state and find out what you can experience on-site and where the best nightlife takes place.

General information about Monaco

We are sure all of you have heard of Monaco. Nevertheless, it doesn’t hurt to refresh your gray matter with a few general facts with our Monaco tips. The small, independent city-state on the French Mediterranean coast is notorious for its luxurious and sensational casinos, marinas, Formula 1, and pompous buildings, restaurants.

Monaco is the second smallest state in the world after the Vatican and is also home to the rich and famous. The focus here is opulence at its best behaviour.  Above all, all that is wealthy, people have settled here for. People that want to pursue an exclusive lifestyle. If you want to go and pursue a vacation here, you must dig a little deeper into your pocket.

Arrival to Monaco

When traveling to Monaco there are several options available. Unfortunately, there is no airport in Monaco, but since the airport in Nice is only 30 kilometres away from Monaco, this makes it a fairly short hop. From Nice, you can either go by rental car, bus, taxi or even fly by helicopter. We can’t imagine a shorter and more better way to get here.

Best time to visit Monaco

The best time to travel to Monaco should not be missing from our Monaco tips. The direct location on the coast of the Mediterranean ensures a mild, Mediterranean climate. This in turn means that the summers are warm and dry and the winters are colder and more humid. Due to the Maritime Alps, extreme weather conditions rarely occur in Monaco, which makes a holiday in this region even better.

The best time to visit Monaco is without a doubt during the summer months. The summers are not too hot and rarely reach 30 degrees, which is why nothing stands in the way of a day of sightseeing. The probability of precipitation is also lowest in Monaco during the summer. With just 2 days of rainfall per month, you can comfortably lie on the beach and enjoy the sun.

Snowfalls in Monaco are rare in winter. The thermometer can drop below 0 degrees here. So don’t forget to take a few thicker things with you.
