How to pick the perfect valentine gift for her

Valentine Day is the only day in the year that is specifically meant for people who are in love. It’s on this day when you demonstrate your love to the one you love and treasure most. Unfortunately, in most cases, it’s a challenge to choose the best and romantic way to prove how much love you have for your woman.

What’s more? Since the day occurs once every year, you cannot buy the same gift all the time. You need a special gift to show how special and worth she is to you. Something that will leave memories that only death can erase. And no, you don’t have to blow all your money on such a gift!

Here’s how to pick a perfect valentine gift she will cherish for life.

Make It Hard For Her To Predict

If, every time you go out, you only buy her chicken, chocolate, and other obvious things, she is likely to predict what you’ll buy next time. With time, you’ll notice that she is no longer excited about such foods.

So, organise with her best friend to take her to a strange (safe) place. Arrive there in advance. Make sure she knows not that you’re there.

Hide somewhere so that she doesn’t see you. While she least expects you, pop up with your gift behind you.

You’ll realise, she will be surprised not only by the gift but by the way you pulled the surprise unexpectedly. Plus, being in a place she has never been into.

Consider Her Likes

Having spent much time together in the past means you know her likes and dislikes. As such, it is easy to predict what she likes most. If she likes it, it doesn’t matter if it’s cheap, it will still mean a lot to her. After all, that’s what her heart treasures!

It can be a gold watch, a set of ornaments, a ring, a pair of shoes, or anything else she loves.

One good thing is that you’ll be sure she will love it.

Listen to Her

Listen to her a few days before valentine. Often, ladies say what they would want to do on valentine. What food they would love to eat, and where they would like to spend the day.

Such a conversation should act as a hint of what she wants from you on valentine day. Her words serve as a sure guide on determining what to pick for her.

Get Hints From Relatives and Friends

Women share a lot of sensitive information with their friends, especially if they’re excited about something or an event. If you, therefore, get to reach one of her best friends or roommates, you can be sure to get as much information as possible.

Be careful, though; some women will spill the beans. If you’re not sure if her friend is trustworthy, try to start a conversation that would help you know what she loves or needs most. Just don’t be direct to the point.

If, however, she lives with her family, you can try to reach her brother, sister, or anyone who is so close to her.

Buy A Customised Gift

“Pictures say a thousand words.” How about you buy a gift and have your (you and her) image engraved on the valentine’s day gifts? She treasures your moments together. If so, seeing your photo perfectly engraved on the gift will remind her of the moments she has always cherished.

Alternatively, have her name, a bible verse she loves, or your name engraved on the gift. Nonetheless, it is only possible to customise some gifts as some might be too small for that.

Consider Durability

If you can afford it, go for durable gifts. Gifts such as flowers are highly perishable. She is likely to preserve the flowers for a couple of days before they rot.

How about you buy something that can last for a couple of months, if not years? There are plenty of such gifts. For example, earrings, shoes, dresses, computers, mobile phones, just to mention but a few.

The longer she will have that gift, the longer she will remember that day and the experience she had. You bet she will never want that day to fade from her memory.

Pick What You Can Afford

Don’t kill yourself trying to impress your girlfriend. Avoid borrowing money so as to buy a gift. Only buy what you can afford. Don’t be extravagant. All that matters is the attitude and her likes. If your attitude is to show love and she, on the other hand, likes the gift, go for it.

Also, make use of special offers and discounts as there are many discounts during that period.

Valentine comes once a year. Make it special, romantic, and memorable for the one your heart adores the most!
