BA flights continue to and from Oz despite strike
Qantas airways, which run code-share services with British Airways (BA) between Australia and the UK have said the first period of BA cabin crew strikes will have no impact on passengers traveling between Australia and the UK.
BA is operating its two daily Sydney-to-Heathrow flights, via Bangkok or Singapore, as normal.
However, passengers with connecting flights on BA between London and Europe may have to rebook their flights as 60 per cent of European flights with the airline are affected.
Passengers holding a valid Qantas or BA ticket between May 24 and June 11 can, without paying a fee, choose to defer travel, re-route travel or return to the origin port or retain the value of the ticket in credit for 12 months
The current strike finishes on May 28 further strikes are also planned with industrial action due to take place between May 30 and June 3, as well as between June 5 and June 9.
