Aussie culture backed by the British Museum

Former Australian cultural attaché Rebecca Hossack and former Turner Prize judge Marina Vaizey will be among those discussing everything from Australian art to Aussie landscapes at the British Museum in London this summer.

Former Australian cultural attaché Rebecca Hossack (pictured left) and former Turner Prize judge Marina Vaizey will discuss Australian art at the British Museumin London this summer. Meanwhile, high-profile speakers from the Australian High Commission, Rio Tinto and the Royal Kew Gardens will debate the tensions behind our Australian landscape. Plus there’s the chance to see award-winning Australian designer Marc Newson presents this year’s Arthur Boyd Annual Lecture.

Australian Performances and Readings

Throughout the next four months, Australian writers and artists will be coming together at the British Museum for readings in the Out of Australia exhibition.  As well as that, people will be able to enjoy a weekend of music by Australian singer-songwriters, Jazz musicians and celebrated Australian Aboriginal didjeridu player, William Barton, as the iconic London museum celebrates the best of Aussie culture in the UK.
