BHP boss on Britain’s top-five pay list

The 49-year-old boss of the world’s largest mining company – dual-listed and headquartered in Australia – in 2011 took home STG9.82 million ($A15.5 million) in salary, cash bonuses, pensions, and share options, reported the British broadsheet on Tuesday.
A survey of executive income conducted by Manifest and MM&K and published in the Times found a median 10 per cent increase in the pay packets of FTSE 100 chiefs in 2011, adding that their earnings have grown to 139 times that of their employees’ average salary.
An unnamed US fund manager defended the executive pay levels.
“You have to pay a lot of money for excellence,” he told the Financial Times.
“Strongly performing chief executives are worth the money. They make a big difference to total returns, dividends and the performance of a company.
“These people don’t just turn up for work and drink coffee. They make important decisions that can make a big difference to how successful a company is.”
Mr Kloppers came fifth on the top-five British pay list behind GlaxoSmithKline’s Andrew Witty (STG10.75 million), AstraZeneca’s David Brennan (STG11.32), WPP’s Martin Sorrell (STG11.62 million), and Barclays’ Bob Diamond (STG20.97 million).

Claudine, if you had a name like churchill, windsor, hitler, eichmann, disraeli, pitt, and all of the of the great british criminals, then you will be allowed a privileged life on their hell on earth they create for us. That is the ‘new world order’ of thugs of centuries ago.
